HC Deb 21 November 1928 vol 222 cc1722-3
43. Sir R. THOMAS

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the need for the disinfection of country cottages arid farms known to be infected with tuberculosis, and in view of the great number of such buildings in rural Wales and elsewhere which are known to be instrumental in spreading the disease, he will empower medical officers to order disinfection to be carried out at their discretion?

Sir K. WOOD

My right hon. Friend is advised that the powers already possessed by local authorities are sufficient to secure any necessary disinfection of premises in which tuberculosis has occurred.
