§ Major TRYONDuring the year ended 30th September, 1928, grants to the amount of £3,386 for 546 beneficiaries were approved from the general Voluntary Fund. In the same period a liability for £3,300 was incurred on behalf of 306 beneficiaries, on the recommendation of the Special Grants Committee, from the sums earmarked for the 1051 benefit of fatherless children, in connection for the most part with their education, training and kindred purposes.
