HC Deb 12 November 1928 vol 222 c478
28. Colonel HOWARD-BURY

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he can give the number of cases that have been heard by the Irish Grants Committee and the number that yet remain to be heard; and when it is expected that the Committee will terminate its labours?

Mr. AMERY

The Irish Grants Committee have so far dealt with 2,830 cases; there remain to be disposed of about 1,270 cases. While no definite date can be given for the termination of the Committee's work, it is hoped that they will be able to deal with the cases awaiting consideration by the close of the current, financial year.
