HC Deb 22 March 1928 vol 215 c545
16. Mr. BRIANT

asked the Home Secretary how many lads of 20 years and under were convicted of various offences during the last three years for which statistics are available; and, of these, how many were placed on probation and how many sent to prison or reformatories?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

It is not possible to give the information in the exact form desired, and, as the various figures would take up much space, I am sending a copy of them to the hon. Member.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Is the right hon. Gentleman taking any steps to increase the reformatory accommodation?

Mr. SPEAKER

That question really does not arise now.
