HC Deb 20 December 1928 vol 223 c3212
44. Sir A. HOLBROOK

asked the Postmaster-General why Post Office orders issued in Canada cannot be cashed at provincial post offices in this country, but must be sent to the General Post Office in London to be cleared?

Viscount WOLMER

Post Office money orders issued in Canada are payable in this country on presentation at the post office on which they are drawn or they may be cleared through a bank. If the hon. and gallant Member will let me have particulars of any case which has given rise to difficulty, I will have inquiry made.
