HC Deb 20 December 1928 vol 223 c3204
27. Mr. DAVID GRENFELL (for Mr. MARDY JONES)

asked the Minister of Health the names of the boards of guardians, together with the number of such persons relieved in each union, who grant poor relief to miners disabled in the course of their employment, and to their dependants, who have become destitute because a large number of colliery companies in the principal coalfields who neglected to insure against their liabilities to their employé have gone into liquidation?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I regret that this information is not in my possession except in so far as I am aware that cases of this kind are said to be in receipt of relief in the Pontypridd Union. I do not know how many such cases there may be in that union.
