HC Deb 13 December 1928 vol 223 cc2340-1
Mr. A. HENDERSON

May I ask if the Prime Minister is in a position to state the business of the House for next week?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Commander Eyres Monsell)

The Prime Minister has been called out of the House for a moment, and perhaps I may be allowed to answer.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we shall take the second, third and fourth Allotted Days in Committee on the Local Government Bill.

On Thursday, we hope to take the Motion for the Christmas Adjournment.

On any other day, if there is time, other Orders will be taken.

Mr. HENDERSON

May I ask whether the Parliamentary Secretary is in a position to say when the House will resume after the Christmas Recess?

The PRIME MINISTER

I apologise for not being here when the right hon. Member put his question regarding business. With regard to his last question, I would rather not say anything at the moment, but I hope to be in a position to give him a definite reply on Monday, if he will put the question then.
