§ The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE (Mr. Guinness)A resolution was received on 3rd March last from the Devon Agricultural Committee, who were informed of the procedure necessary in connection with applications for an Order for the marking of imported goods under the Merchandise Marks Act, 1926. The matter was subsequently discussed with the Agricultural Organiser for Devon. The Ministry is prepared to deal with an application under Section 2 of the Merchandise Marks Act, 1926, if, and when, made.
Commander WILLIAMSWill my right hon. Friend draw the notice of the Chancellor of the Exchequer to this fact, and could he not meet it by means of an import duty?
