HC Deb 24 May 1927 vol 206 cc1840-1
44. Mr. J. HUDSON (for Mr. ROBIN-SON)

asked the Minister of Pensions, seeing that Article 7 of the Royal Warrant for 1914 is included in the Pension Warrant of 6th December, 1919, and that Article 7 provides that all pecuniary advantages not claimed within a period of 12 months shall be deemed to be forfeited, what steps he is taking to secure that the pensions or part of pensions withheld from motherless and Section 9 children for two years shall not be forfeited; and whether it is proposed to introduce an amending Warrant to safeguard the pensions of these children?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of PENSIONS (Lieut.-Colonel Stanley)

The pensions or parts of pension to which the hon. Member refers are not unclaimed, so that Article 7 of the Royal Warrant of 1914 does not apply. In these circumstances, no amending Warrant is necessary.
