Friend is sending my hon. and gallant Friend a statement showing the proposals for capital expenditure approved by the Board for a series of years up to the year ended 31st March, 1926, when the amount of such approved proposals was £6,015,215. For the year ended 31st March, 1927, the corresponding amount was £5,938,763. My right hon. Friend is afraid that he cannot at this date form any reliable estimate of the probable figures for the year ending March next.
