HC Deb 02 May 1927 vol 205 c1261
45. Mr. E. BROWN

asked the Prime Minister whether he has decided to take action upon the Report of the Blanesburgh Committee; and, if so, when?

Mr. BETTERTON

I have been asked to reply. Yes, Sir, and a Bill has been prepared which is based upon the Report, but I am unable at the present moment to state the date of its introduction.

Mr. BROWN

Will the hon. Gentleman bear in mind that there is a great Seal of anxiety, in areas where unemployment has been long-continued and chronic, in regard to this matter?

Mr. BETTERTON

Yes, Sir; all those considerations are borne in mind.
