HC Deb 31 March 1927 vol 204 c1424
75. Mr. KELLY

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury why the Report of the Registrar General on trade unions for 1925 has not yet been issued; and when he expects that it will be available?

The MINISTER of LABOUR (Sir Arthur Steel-Maitland)

The delay in issuing the Report is due to pressure of business. It is, however, now in proof form and is expected to be ready within the next six weeks. As the hon. Member is probably aware, a statistical summary containing the figures for 1925 was issued at the beginning of this year and can be obtained from the Stationery Office.

Mr. KELLY

Will the right hon. Gentleman say why there has been this delay?

Sir A. STEEL-MAITLAND

Pressure of business.
