§ 63. Mr. RENNIE SMITHasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the present position with regard to negotiations for Chinese representation on the Municipal Council of Shanghai?
Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSONI have nothing to add to the reply returned to the hon. Member on 23rd February last, except that I am in communication with His Majesty's Minister at Peking and His Majesty's Consul-General at Shanghai on this subject, which is being carefully and closely examined.
