12 Rear-Admiral SUETER

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India (1) if the Government of India proposes to bring all departmental ranks of the Indian unattached list into line as regards period of promotion from one rank to another;

(2) whether the revised pay for ail ranks of the Indian unattached list includes the allowances (such as free quarters, clothing, etc.) now enjoyed by similar ranks of the British service and their families;

(3) whether the Government of India will extend to warrant officers of indoor departments the same concessions as are at present enjoyed by officers when making road journeys on duty and by officers and other ranks when travelling by rail on leave?
