HC Deb 13 June 1927 vol 207 c662
15. Sir F. WISE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what will be the extra cost to the taxpayer, both immediate and perpetual, with regard to pension rights, of raising the legation in the Argentine to an Embassy?

Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSON

No immediate extra cost, with regard to pension rights, is involved. The ultimate extra cost, under the existing Diplomatic Pensions Act, would be £400 a year.
