§ Captain HACKING (for The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS)The value of foreign products and manufactures purchased by the Department during the last financial year is about £7,600, representing approximately 1 per cent. of the total purchases. It is not possible to state the value of foreign products purchased by contractors, but whenever possible British manufactured articles are specified in all Office of Works contracts.
