HC Deb 01 June 1927 vol 207 c368
24. Mr. TREVELYAN THOMSON

asked the Minister of Labour if, in view of the findings of the Blanesburgh Committee's Report, he can now state the number of insured workers who have made 30 or more contributions during the preceding two years?

The MINISTER of LABOUR (Sir Arthur Steel-Maitland)

As the result of a sample inquiry made at the beginning of April it is estimated that at 4th April, 1927, exclusive of the new entrants to insurance during the past 30 weeks, about 98 per cent. of insured workers have paid 30 or more contributions during the last two years.
