HC Deb 26 July 1927 vol 209 cc1029-30
67. Mr. NAYLOR

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the unhealthy occupation Of many municipal employés, such as dustmen, scavengers, etc., he will consider raking powers to compel municipalities to allow their manual workers the free use of the municipal baths?

Sir K. WOOD

No, Sir. My right hon. Friend is not prepared to propose any such powers of compulsion on local authorities.

Mr. NAYLOR

Can the Parliamentary Secretary give us an assurance that he is willing to advise municipalities about these facilities?

Sir K. WOOD

I do not see any necessity for doing that.
