HC Deb 26 July 1927 vol 209 c1006
11. Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in the event of the decease of an acting warrant officer, his widow would be eligible for pension due to the widows of warrant officers?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Commodore Douglas King)

I assume that the hon. Member is referring to the award of pensions under the post-War Regulations. Under these Regulations the widow of an acting warrant officer is not eligible for a pension from Army funds, unless her husband's death was attributable to service, in which case she would be considered for a pension based on the substantive rank of her husband.
