HC Deb 25 July 1927 vol 209 cc993-4

Question proposed, "That the Clause stand part of the Bill."

Mr. STEPHEN

I think this is a very good Bill and I wonder if it would not be possible for the Government to consider the extension of it to the United States of America. I find, in connection with pensions, that there is difficulty with regard to people who have a pension when they go to the United States. This is making it so much of an Empire business, and I suggest that the right hon. Gentleman should consider the extension of it in the way I have suggested.

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

I am much obliged to the hon. Member for the suggestion. The point is not one which could be dealt with by the Imperial Conference, but I will consider the question.

Bill reported, without Amendment; read the Third time, and passed, without Amendment.

The remaining Orders were read, and postponed.
