HC Deb 13 July 1927 vol 208 c2130
32. Mr. SCRYMGEOUR

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that the public telephone kiosks in Dundee, especially those situate at the railway stations, East, West, and Taybridge, as also at High Street, are in an uncleanly condition; and whether he will direct the attention of those responsible to this matter?

Viscount WOLMER

My information is that the condition of the kiosks in question is satisfactory, but I will make further inquiries.

Mr. ROBERT HUDSON

Is not this one of those questions that offends against the rule in regard to questions not containing imputations, as it seems to insinuate intemperate habits on the part of the inhabitants of Dundee?

Mr. SCRYMGEOUR

Is the Noble Lord aware that Dundee presents a fairly good comparison with the situation in England as well as in other parts of Scotland?
