§ 40. Colonel DAYasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he can state the number of photographs that were taken of the eclipse by the officials of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich; the viewpoint from which these photographs were taken; what was the cost; and when the examination of the photographs and other data of the eclipse will be completed?
§ Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAMI have been asked to reply. Three photographs were taken from a site near Giggleswick School. The total cost was £150. The examination of the photographs will be completed in time for a full report to be sent to the Royal Astronomical Society in the autumn.
§ Colonel DAYWill the full report also be published, so that all who are interested in this subject can have an opportunity of seeing it?
§ Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAMNo doubt there will be an ample opportunity of the public seeing the report.
