§ Mr. AMERYIt has been found possible, as the result of the agreement with Turkey, to effect considerable reductions of expenditure from the British Exchequer in the Middle East. A saving of some £200,000 has been effected during the current financial year. A further saving of over £1,000,000 is anticipated in the coming year.
