asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the amounts of the Reserve Funds set aside by the various West Indian Colonies as provision against contingencies?

Following is the reply.

RESERVE FUNDS set aside by the various West Indian Colonies as a Provision against Contingencies.

Barbados 31st March, 1926 £100,000.
Jamaica 31st March, 1926 £145,000 against which should be set a Deficit of £32,747.
Leward Islands:
Antigua 31st March, 1926 £10,197 8s. 3d. against which should be set a Deficit of £6,684 3s. 10d.
Dominica 31st March, 1926 Nil.
Montserrat 31st March, 1926 £10,000.
St. Kitts-Nevis 3lst March, 1926 £9,750.
Virgin Islands 31st March, 1926 £10,090 10s. 10d.
Trinidad 31st December, 1926 £125,000.
Winward Islands:
Grenada 31st December, 1926 £21,109.
St Lucia 31st December, 1926 £10,847 9s. 6d. against which should be set a Deficit of £8,736 12s. 8d.
St. Vincent 31st December, 1926 £38,038 4s. 6d.
