HC Deb 10 February 1927 vol 202 cc295-6
76. Captain EDEN (for Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE)

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the Russian Soviet Government has made any proposals for the settlement of British claims in connection with the confiscation by the Soviet Government of British nationals' property in Russia?

Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSON

The answer is in the negative.

Mr. SCRYMGEOUR

May I ask if there are any counter-claims against our country in this connection?

Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSON

This merely refers to the confiscation by the Soviet Government of the property of British nationals, and that question I have answered.

Mr. SCRYMGEOUR

Yes, but what I am asking is whether there are any counter-claims against our country in that connection?

Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSON

Yes, that may be so.
