HC Deb 20 December 1927 vol 212 c204
27. Miss BONDFIELD

asked the Postmaster-General at what price his Department has purchased from the Hans Place and Cadogan Syndicate (No. 3), Limited, approximately one acre of ground in the neighbourhood of Cadogan Square, Chelsea; how many industrial tenants are living on the land just now; whether all or any of them are protected tenants; whether, irrespective of this protection, they have been assured that they will not be deprived of their homes unless and until alternative accommodation has been provided for them under the Housing Acts; whether these houses are in the meantime in good sanitary condition; and whether this transaction and its completion are in any way dependent upon the repeal of the Rent Restriction Act?

Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSON

I must refer the hon. Member to the reply given by me to the right hon. Member for North Norfolk (Mr. Buxton) on the 19th instant in answer to the same question.
