Mr. CHAMBERLAINI have already suggested to local authorities that they should in future especially devote themselves to the provision of houses which can be let at rents within the means of the less well-paid workers, and the reduction which has taken place in the prices of houses is undoubtedly facilitating the erection of this type of house.
