HC Deb 14 April 1927 vol 205 c534
41. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he has received a report from the Commander-in-Chief regarding the action in which British sailors from His Majesty's ship "Woodcock" were engaged at Changsha in March; and whether he will inform the House of what took place there?

Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAM

According to accounts received at the Admiralty, a slight fracas took place at Changsha on 23rd March. Our reports state that one seaman received head injury, and the Chinese communication states that one Chinese farmer lost four teeth.
