asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether, as his Department is responsible for the upkeep of Consular and Diplomatic buildings in China, any Reports have been received by 'his Department indicating damage to these structures; and, if so, of what nature?
