HC Deb 27 September 1926 vol 199 c247
Mr. JACOB

(by Private Notice) asked the Home Secretary whether, in the event of the coal stoppage being extended beyond the termination of summer time, steps will be taken to prolong the existing hours of summer for at least another month?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

This could only be done by special legislation, and His Majesty's Government cannot undertake to introduce a Bill on the subject.
