§ Mr. MCNEILLI understand that the disciplinary rules for the staff of the Ministry of Labour include a prohibition of betting and gambling on official premises. A similar prohibition, expressed or implied, is applicable in Government offices generally.
§ Captain GARRO-JONESMay I ask whether the hon. Gentleman contemplates any modification of these rules, in view of recent fiscal developments?
§ Mr. MCNEILLNo, Sir, no more than it is contemplated to allow hon. Members to smoke in this House, because they pay a tax on tobacco.
