asked the Minister of Health the total number of pensions now being paid to widows and to orphans under the Act of 1925?

The number of awards of pension in England, Scotland and Wales made up to 25th March is 135,730. 127,622 are in respect of widows, and 8,108 are in respect of orphans. A certain proportion of the latter covers more than one child.
