§ 41. Captain FRASERasked the Minister of Health if his attention has been called to the action which has been taken by the Hull Corporation to provide a minimum income to blind persons ordinarily resident in their area under the powers given by the Blind Persons Act, 1920; and if he will bring the matter to the notice of other local authorities throughout the country, with a recommendation that they should take similar action?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI am aware of the action which the Hull Town Council have under consideration in this matter. Other authorities under the Blind Persons Act, 1920, have already made, or have under consideration, arrangements of a similar character, and as at present advised I do not think it is necessary to take the action suggested in the latter part of the question.
