HC Deb 23 March 1926 vol 193 cc1009-10
16. Viscount SANDON

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will arrange that Voluntary Aid Detachment personnel should do their annual training partially with the Territorial divisions of their locality when they go to camp?

The SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Sir Laming Worthington-Evans)

As Voluntary Aid Detachment personnel will be employed principally in general hospitals in the event of war, it is considered that they derive more useful experience from the training which they receive in military hospitals than it would be possible to obtain by training with Territorial divisions.
