Mr. SAMUELI have, been asked to reply. In Bohemia—and I understand that similar terms of payment are likely to be adopted in the rest of Czechoslovakia—the price of beet is either fixed or assessed on a sliding scale at the option of the grower, who must make his choice before 30th April, 1926. The fixed price is 150 korona (about 18s, 6½d.) per metric ton (2204.6 lbs.) of net weight. The sliding price is determined on the basis of the price of raw sugar with a guaranteed minimum of 120 korona (about 14s. 9½d.) per metric ton.
