HC Deb 23 March 1926 vol 193 cc1040-1
84. Mr. WALLHEAD (for Mr. PURCELL)

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will inform the House as to the terms of any Note presented to the Mexican Government with regard to certain provisions of the Mexican Statutes known as the Petroleum and Anti-alien Land Laws, which are designed to give administrative effect to Article 27 of the Mexican Constitution?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Godfrey Locker - Lampson)

Correspondence is passing between His Majesty's Government and the Mexican Government on this subject, but His Majesty's Government do not consider that it would be opportune to publish the terms of their notes at present.
