§ 20. Colonel WEDGWOODasked the Secretary of State for War the estimated annual cost of the extra cavalry regiment which has been returned from India as no longer required there, including in the cost the provision and maintenance of the necessary accommodation and whether any further methods of economy practiced by India will likewise involve us in an additional cavalry establishment?
§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSFor an estimate of the approximate annual effective cost of a cavalry regiment at home in 1926 I would refer the right hon. 1012 Member to page 254 of the Army Estimates just presented. As regards the latter part of his question, I can add nothing to what I said in the course of the Debate on the introduction of the Estimates.
§ Colonel WEDGWOODAre we to understand that the figures given on that occasion include the cost of accommodation?
§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSYes. The figures were given in detail there and show the cost of accommodation.
