77. Mr. ROBINSONasked the Minister of Pensions whether he will issue instructions to the Special Grants Committee that educational grants shall be made in all cases where the child of a man who gave his life for the country, has won, or been awarded, a scholarship at a secondary or higher grade school, or at a university?
Lieut.-Colonel STANLEYI would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave him on the 7th April last, to which I have nothing to add. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of that answer.
Mr. ROBINSONMay we take it that it is the policy of the Ministry of Pensions that the child of a soldier killed in the War who has won a scholarship is to be deprived of the advantages of that scholarship owing to its poverty?
