§ 82. Mr. GILLETTasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Treaty made between Great Britain and Portugal and confirmed in 1904, under which this. country is under an obligation to defend and protect all conquests and colonies belonging to Portugal against all enemies, future as well as present, is still in force; and, if so, when was the Treaty last confirmed?
