HC Deb 15 March 1926 vol 193 cc44-5
92. Captain GUNSTON

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he will consider providing the same amount of illumination for the portion of the British Museum which is open on Sunday as is provided on weekdays?

Mr. McNEILL

No representations have been received from the trustees on this subject, and the present does not seem to be a suitable moment for introducing changes involving increased charges on public funds and increased Sunday labour in a system of many years' standing.
