HC Deb 22 June 1926 vol 197 cc332-3

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Clause stand part of the Bill"

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Viscount Wolmer)

It may be for the convenience of the Committee if I explain the object of this Bill. It will enable the Postmaster-General to acquire land to enlarge the post offices at Blackpool, Swansea and Doncaster. It has been before the Examiners and they are satisfied that the Standing Orders have been complied with. It has been before the Select Committee and passed by them, and there is no opposition to it. In those circumstances I hope the Committee will pass the Bill.

Question put, and agreed to.

Clauses 2 to 12, ordered to stand part of the Bill.

Bill reported, without Amendment; read the Third time, and passed.
