HC Deb 18 February 1926 vol 191 cc2119-20
52. Mr. A. V. ALEXANDER

asked the Prime Minister whether he has yet received any Report from Lord Colwyn's Committee on National Debt and Taxation; and, if so, what arrangements, if any, are being made for its publication?

The PRIME MINISTER

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative; the second part, therefore, does not arise.

Mr. ALEXANDER

May I ask whether, in view of the very serious financial position, we ought not to have the Report of this Committee before the Budget?

The PRIME MINISTER

I should be very glad if we could get it. They are doing their best.

Sir FREDRIC WISE

When the Report is published, will it be available to Members of Parliament?

The PRIME MINISTER

I should like notice of that question.
