HC Deb 18 February 1926 vol 191 cc2111-2
56. Mr. COMPTON

asked the President of the Board of Education whether the Lancashire Education Committee has decided not to proceed with the building of new schools at Stretford, Urmston, Accrington, Darwen, Swinton, and Chadderton; and whether they have stated the reason why those schools are now considered to be unnecessary?

Duchess of ATHOLL

My right hon. Friend is not aware that the authority have decided not to proceed with these proposals: the second part of the question consequently does not arise.
