HC Deb 11 February 1926 vol 191 cc1218-9
36. Mr. LANSBURY

asked the Home Secretary how many persons are at present serving sentences of imprisonment for offences committed in connection with industrial disputes and political propaganda in this country, in Northern Ireland, and in the Irish Free State?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

As regards Northern Ireland and the Irish Free State, I have no information. As regards England and Wales, the documents received by the prison authorities from Courts when offenders are sent to prison do not disclose whether the offences were committed in connection with industrial disputes or political propaganda.
