HC Deb 04 February 1926 vol 191 c304
65. Mr. HOPKINS

asked the Minister of Health what is the cause of the delays in his Department in dealing with the London County Council scheme for slum clearance in St. Pancras?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

This scheme has presented special difficulties, but is being dealt with as expeditiously as possible.

Mr. HOPKINS

Does my right hon. Friend realise that the delays in his Department have hung up the important slum clearance for nearly eight months?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I know it has been a long time, but the case is a particularly difficult one.
