§ 7. Captain GARRO-JONESasked the President of the Board of Education how many compulsorily retired teachers have failed to qualify for pension under the Teachers Superannuation Act?
§ The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Lord Eustace Percy)I am not clear to what the hon. and gallant Member refers by the expression "compulsorily retired." I have no record of the number of teachers who had not, by the age of 65, completed a sufficient number of years' service to be eligible for pension benefits under the School Teachers (Superannuation) Acts, 1918–1924.
