HC Deb 30 November 1925 vol 188 cc1799-800
12. Captain GARRO-JONES

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether has received any communication from the Government of any of the Dominions or of India with reference to the Locarno Final Protocol?

Mr. AMERY

As was indicated by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in his speech on the 18th November, communications with the Governments of the Dominions and of India on the subject of the Locarno Treaty are passing, but it would appear premature to make any further statement until the correspondence is more advanced.

Captain GARRO-JONES

Did the right hon. Gentleman say that the communication had been received?

Mr. AMERY

Yes: communications are passing, and when they have been completed, we shall be in a position to let the House know.
