68. Mr. ALLEN PARKINSON

asked the Minister of Labour how many applications for extended benefit have been made within the area covered by the Wigan Employment Exchange during the months of this year, respectively; how many have been rejected; and how many applications made by disabled ex-service men have been rejected?

70 and 71. Mr. BARNES

asked the Minister of Labour (1) whether he can state the number of persons that applied for extended benefit in each month of the present year at the East Ham Employment Exchange; and the number and percentage of cases in which benefit was refused;

(2) whether he can state the number of single girls disqualified from benefit at the East Ham Employment Exchange during the present year on the grounds that they were not genuinely seeking employment?

asked the Minister of Labour if he can state the number of persons refused unemployment benefit in the Birmingham Employment Exchange area since 1st October to date; and the number of vacancies filled by the Birmingham Employment Exchange for the same period?

Mr. SITCH

asked the Minister of Labour whether he can state the number of persons who have been refused unemployment benefit at the Cradley Heath and Brierley Hill Employment Exchanges respectively since the 1st of October this year to date, and the number of vacancies filled by those exchanges during the same period?
