HC Deb 19 November 1925 vol 188 cc579-80
67. Mr. GROVES

asked the Minister of Health the number of municipalities, and give the names, which have resolved in favour of powers to be given by Parliament for the establishment of municipal banks within their areas; and what steps he proposes to satisfy such requests?

73. Mr. W. THORNE

asked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the success of the Birmingham Municipal Bank and of the desire of a number of local authorities to establish similar banks, he will consider favourably the introduction of legislation granting the necessary powers to all county and borough councils?
