HC Deb 04 May 1925 vol 183 cc572-3
36. Sir H. BRITTAIN

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department what part is being taken by this country in the Paris Exhibition of the current year and in the International Book Fair at Florence?

Mr. SAMUEL

His Majesty's Government are participating officially in the Paris Exhibition of Decorative and Industrial Art. A British pavilion has been erected and space has also been placed at the disposal of this country in the Grand Palais and in other exhibition buildings. Every endeavour has been made to secure that the British display shall be fully representative of industrial art in the United Kingdom. As regards the Book Fair at Florence, His Majesty's Government have co-operated with the Publishers' Association in order to secure an exhibit illustrative of book production in this country.
